Many additional spin-off projects such as the old Fort Sidney Dig, and the Camp Lookout project are also now works in progress by this group. Cooperative efforts with the City of Sidney on the purchase of Camp Lookout and the land gifted from the Union Pacific Railroad to expand the Boot Hill Cemetery to its original boundaries have also been accomplished.
A drive by Camp Lookout on East Elm Street on Sidney's north side shows a remarkable restoration project well under way, that is a favorite tourist attraction. Tourism related panels and fencing have been installed and the committee never misses an opportunity to tell its story, drawing national interest and publicity for Sidney. A highlight of Camp Look out is that It has been featured in Nebraska Life Magazine.
